| WTF***? is a comics anthology published just about yearly by Chompers Comics since time as we know it began (1997, was it?). I could try and fail to describe the magazine for a long time and you might still not get an accurate idea... have a peek at some sample pages from past issues! |

Broken Pencil's Erin Kabayashi writes about issue 6: "This is très fun. Every page of this lovely mini comic just makes you want to smile and laugh at some super weird and sometimes pervy cartoon. It's quite slim but this is actually considered a thick issue, and for the price of a regular issue you're getting a deal. Since WTF? has numerous contributors marking up each page of the book, your eye never knows what visual will hit it next. Most of the pictures are drawn in small squares and I'd often find myself stopping to gawk at the great detail each one would have. This is a nice collaborative effort by a lot of illustrators (11) so you're bound to find something funny or twisted within WTF?" |

Comic Book Heaven's Scott Saavedra says, about issue 7: "...a modest zine anthology of odd and humorous strips. Rick has teamed up with other creative folks for WTF? I really like most of the cartooning--Rick is especially good--but the humor, as is often the case in this type of thing, is hit and miss (I really could have done without "Drunk on Phlegm" but maybe I'm just getting old). One strip, "Is the World Ready For... Biff Lowenstein?," is largely made up of dialog from old comics (see art above) and got the biggest laugh out of me." |
